Join us for a church serve day as we work together to restore and beautify an outdoor space. Our primary project is a 13’ x 9’ deck renovation along with general yard cleanup. Tasks Include: ✅ Power washing the deck, porch, driveway, and walkways ✅ Removing and replacing all deck boards on the approximately 13’ x 9’ deck ✅ Staining and sealing the deck after installation ✅ Cleaning, weeding, and refreshing flower beds ✅ General outdoor cleanup and beautification No experience is necessary for many of the tasks, and there will be opportunities for everyone to serve. Volunteers with carpentry experience are especially appreciated for the deck board replacement portion of the project. Lunch, snacks, Gatorade, and water will be provided for all volunteers. All lumber, stain, and project supplies will be purchased by the family being served. Please wear work clothes, closed-toe shoes, and bring work gloves if you have them. Together, we’ll make a lasting impact through service, fellowship, and helping improve a neighbor’s home. Serve Day Rally: Plan to attend the Serve Day rally, where we'll gather for a short time of inspiration, information, prayer, and worship! The Rally will be held before heading out to our projects, and project leaders will give important instructions immediately following. Doors open at 8:00 AM | Rally starts at 8:30 AM at our Midlothian location.

This Serve Day team will help collect the donated shoes at the Serve Day Rally and then deliver them to Soles4Souls. Soles4Souls turns shoe donations into means to meet the needs of people in 4 key ways: Helps get new and gently worn shoes to people in crisis situations, freeing up financial resources they can use toward other needs. We collect donations to provide relief for people in need and our planet. Partners with community-based nonprofit organizations in developing countries to help entrepreneurs start and grow businesses that sell donated shoes. Partners with schools across the U.S. to get new athletic shoes to children who are experiencing homelessness, eliminating a barrier to educational and extracurricular opportunities. Soles4Souls cares for our planet and for people by extending the life of shoes that might’ve otherwise been prematurely discarded. This opportunity to serve is open to all who wish to participate. Role - donating, gathering, sorting, boxing shoes for donation.
