This project is for High School Girls only! Join us in helping support students in our higher-needs schools throughout Chesterfield County by creating “Just in Case” kits for girls who may not have easy access to feminine hygiene products. These kits will be for period emergencies during the school day so students can feel prepared, comfortable, and confident. Each kit will include essential items such as pads, liners, underwear, a bag for soiled clothes, and hand sanitizer wipes. Something that may seem small to many of us can be a major source of stress for a student without access to these essentials. This service project will support students in schools who partner with Communities in Schools. CIS is a national dropout-prevention nonprofit whose mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. CIS currently serves students in 16 high-needs schools across Chesterfield County. Serve Day Rally: Plan to attend the Serve Day rally, where we'll gather for a short time of inspiration, information, prayer, and worship! The Rally will be held before heading out to our projects, and project leaders will give important instructions immediately following. Doors open at 8:00 AM | Rally starts at 8:30 AM at our Midlothian location.
