There are three outbuildings, added by the previous owner, in the back of one of our recovery homes. They are in disrepair & unsightly. We would like to restore these structures to improve their appearance and also make them usable. Project leader will provide address. This project is for High School Girls only! Join us in helping support students in our higher-needs schools throughout Chesterfield County by creating “Just in Case” kits for girls who may not have easy access to feminine hygiene products. These kits will be for period emergencies during the school day so students can feel prepared, comfortable, and confident. Each kit will include essential items such as pads, liners, underwear, a bag for soiled clothes, and hand sanitizer wipes. Something that may seem small to many of us can be a major source of stress for a student without access to these essentials. This service project will support students in schools who partner with Communities in Schools. CIS is a national dropout-prevention nonprofit whose mission is to surround students with a community of support, empowering them to stay in school and achieve in life. CIS currently serves students in 16 high-needs schools across Chesterfield County. Chapel Choir Worship Outreach Experience This Serve Day team will lead a worship outreach experience that will include choral music and drama to the community and staff at RVA CARITAS - A non-profit organization that works to rehabilitate and integrate men and women with addictions and homelessness back into society. We will be serving in the climate controlled warehouse space of the facility, this will include a rehearsal, cook-out and Worship Outreach Experience based on a message of hope and the power of Jesus Christ who provides all of our needs according to His riches and glory! This project is intended for Individuals at least 12 years old. (children ages 7-11 can participate, but in a hospitality capacity). There are multiple aspects of this Service Project, this sign-up is specific to the Chapel Choir, Band, Drama, and Tech team. Chapel Choir and Team, we need you!
